What is the difference between rubber molds and plastic molds?
1. The difference in raw materials. Plastics mostly refer to PE, PP, PVC, PC and other materials, which are very common in our daily lives. Rubber usually refers to natural rubber and synthetic rubber, etc.
2. Rubber molds are generally hot dry molds. During processing, the rubber strip is placed in the cavity of the rubber mold. After the mold is closed, the mold is placed in a hot press, heated, pressurized, and insulated. Finally, the mold is taken out and the product is taken out of the mold.
3. Plastic molds are generally injection molds. The molten plastic raw material is injected into the mold cavity. After the raw material is cooled and solidified in the mold cavity, the mold is opened and the finished product is ejected.
Maintenance of rubber molds
1. The wear curve of rubber molds that are regularly maintained exists in every rubber mold. When the processing quantity is met, the rubber mold maintenance is realized, the maintenance plan is implemented, and the maintenance time is easy to control.
2. The purpose of maintaining the mold is to extend the mold life, stabilize the quality, and make it easy to maintain.
3. Maintenance refers to normal rubber mold cleaning, inspection, and moving to oil, etc. This work usually confirms that the mold is in normal condition and can detect abnormalities early.
4. The rubber mold processing of accident state maintenance will have some changes and cannot continue to be used. For example, the burrs become larger, the size of the error, such as scars, and the burning of mold parts. Because of similar abnormalities, the content of mold maintenance and maintenance is called accidents. This kind of maintenance is usually used until the limit is reached. If the rubber mold maintenance cost is more important, the life of the mold is short.
